Eagle Rock has announced its latest concert release for Blu-ray, setting a late-June date for 'John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers and Friends: The 70th Birthday Concert.'
Staged in 2003 in honor of the famous tunesmith's birthday and including some very special guests (including Eric Clapton and Mick Taylor), the complete 160-minute show is presented in full on high-def for the first time.
Eagle Rock has set a June 30 street date for the Blu-ray.
Tech specs see a BD-50 dual-layer disc with 1080 video, and audio specs TBA.
In addition to the 16-song tracklist, three bonus songs deleted from the original DVD ("Grits Ain't Groceries", "Jacksboro Highway" and "California") are included as extras.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $28.95.
