Hopefully, this can get the hardware and software maker back on course.
Nintendo recently announced that they're taking a loss this year - the first time in a very long time. It's a little scary seeing such an established name in gaming take a big step back, but the company is determined not to let it happen again.
One of the steps they're taking to ensure profitability next year is to put a strong focus on having their new system, the Wii U, completely ready by E3 of next year. The folks at Nintendo hope that this change can help them avoid repeating what happened with the poorly performing 3DS.
A final version of the Wii U in the summer has a strong implication - it means that we can almost certainly expect a holiday 2012 launch for Nintendo's latest piece of hardware. Whether or not they'll be able to find the same success as they did with the Wii will have to be seen.
