Just in time for awards season, Ben Affleck's 'Gone
Baby Gone' will make its next-gen debut this February.
Surprising even his biggest detractors, Affleck's directorial
debut has become one of the best-reviewed films of the year, with 'Gone
Baby Gone' already earning buzz as a potential Oscar contender.
Clearly hoping to capitalize on that buzz, Buena Vista has set a
February 12 day-and-date Blu-ray and DVD debut for 'Gone Baby Gone, only two weeks before the scheduled Oscar telecast.
Among the many bonus features planned are an audio commentary with Ben Affleck, the
featurettes "Going Home," "Capturing Authenticity" and "Casting
Gone Baby Gone," and deleted scenes. At press time, there were no announced Blu-ray exclusives, aside
from the studio's standard Movie Showcase highlighting the disc's three most
HD-ready scenes.
Tech specs include 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and uncompressed
PCM 5.1 Surround audio (at 48kHz/24-bit).
Suggested retail for the Blu-ray has been set at $34.98.
