The first season of the hit vampire drama releasing at the end of the month has been fully detailed.
As previously reported, Warner Brothers announced 'The Vampire Diaries: The Complete First Season' for Blu-ray on August 31.
The Vampire Diaries’ series premiere generated the largest audience in The CW’s history for a series debut with 5.7 million total viewers (including delayed viewing on a Live+7 day basis). It is currently The CW’s most-watched scripted show, with its original telecasts seen each week by 4.4 million viewers, and it is the network’s number one scripted show among Adults 18-34.
The four-disc set will feature 1080p video, a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements include: Pilot commentary; Into Mystic Falls: bringing vampire lore and the high school experience from page to screen; When Vampires Don't Suck!: the popularity of vampires and the fans who love them; The Vampire Diaries: A New Breed of Vampires -- Casting the Series; The Vampire Diaries: Vampires 101 – The Rules of the Vampire; Unaired scenes; The Vampire Diaries: A Darker Truth webisodes; Second Bite: gag reel; and a downloadable audiobook of the bestselling novel The Vampire Diaries: The Awakening by L.J. Smith.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $69.97.
