Blu-ray will get lucky with another Nicholas Sparks' romance in August.
In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Brothers says 'The Lucky One' is coming to high-definition on August 28.
Based on Sparks' bestseller The Lucky One, Zac Efron stars alongside Taylor Schilling and Blythe Danner in this romantic drama directed by Academy Awardr-nominated writer/director Scott Hicks. U.S. Marine Sergeant Logan Thibault (Efron) returns from his third tour of duty in Iraq, with the one thing he credits with keeping him alive-a photograph he found of a woman he doesn't even know. Learning her name is Beth (Schilling) and where she lives, he shows up at her door, and ends up taking a job at her family-run local kennel. Despite her initial mistrust and the complications in her life, a romance develops between them, giving Logan hope that Beth could be much more than his good luck charm.
The release will be a Blu-ray/DVD/UV Digital Copy combo pack with 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Zac Efron Becomes a Marine, Watch The Sparks Fly - The Romantic World Of The Lucky One, and Zac and Taylor's Amazing Chemistry.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray combo pack is $35.99 and a movie-only edition will also be available for $29.98.
