The groundbreaking classic of love and war will make its Blu-ray debut in October.
In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Brothers is working on 'The Big Parade' for Blu-ray on October 1.
The idle son of a rich businessman joins the army when the U.S.A. enters World War One. He is sent to France, where he becomes friends with two working-class soldiers. He also falls in love with a Frenchwoman, but has to leave her to move to the frontline.
Specs have yet to be revealed, but the release will be packaged in a 64-page digibook and supplements will include: Audio Commentary by Historian Jeffrey Vance with Director King Vidor; Documentary The Men Who Made the Movies: King Vidor; and Vintage Short 1925 Studio Tour.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $27.98.
