Ben Stiller's directorial debut is getting the 20th anniversary treatment on Blu-ray in April, and you can pre-order it now.
In an early announcement to retailers, Universal Studios is preparing 'Reality Bites: 20th Anniversary Edition' for Blu-ray on April 15.
Lelaina (Winona Ryder), the valedictorian of her college class, camcords her friends in a mock documentary of post-education life. Her best friend Troy (Ethan Hawke) is a perpetually unemployed musical slacker; Vickie (Janeane Garofalo) a manager at the Gap who worries about the results of an AIDS test; Sammy (Steve Zahn) a man who has problems grappling with his sexuality. But when Lelaina meets Michael (Ben Stiller), an earnest video executive who takes her homemade video to his MTV-like station, she must decide what she values: the materialism of yuppie Michael or the philosophical musings of Troy.
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video and a DTS-HD MA 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Feature Commentary with Actor/Director Ben Stiller and Writer Helen Childress; Reality Bites Retrospective; Lisa Loeb: Stay; Music Video "Stay (I Missed You)" by Lisa Loeb; and Theatrical Trailer.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray/Digital Copy combo pack is $19.98.
