One of the biggest blockbusters of all-time looks to be coming to Blu-ray this summer!
According to Jawsmovie.com, Universal has tentatively scheduled Steven Spielberg's 'Jaws' for Blu-ray on August 14.
Based on Peter Benchley's novel, a great white shark terrorizes a small beachside New England town and its up to Police Chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider), a marine biologist (Richard Dreyfuss) and an obsessive shark hunter (Robert Shaw) to hunt down the maneater and make the shores safe once again.
'Jaws' won three Oscars (Best Film Editing, Best Original Dramatic Score, and Best Sound) and shattered box office records in 1976.
Rediscover the timeless film that continues to make entire generations afraid to go in the water.
Specs and supplements have yet to be revealed, but it sounds like Universal might also be planning to release the sequel(s) around the same time -- possibly 'Jaws - 3D' on Blu-ray 3D.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is still undetermined at this time.
