The teen stoner comedy comes to "high"-definition this September!
In an early announcement to retailers, Starz/Anchor Bay has just revealed 'High School' for Blu-ray on September 4.
Starring Academy Award™ winner Adrien Brody ('The Pianist'), Michael Chiklis (“The Shield”), Sean Marquette ('Seabiscuit'), Matt Bush ('Piranha 3DD'), Colin Hanks (AMC’s “Mad Men”) and Yeardley Smith (Fox’s “The Simpsons”), 'High School' is the story of soon-to-be valedictorian Henry Burke (Bush) who, after taking a hit of the chronic for the first time, must pass a mandatory drug test administered by his school’s maniacal principal (Chiklis).
Henry is left with two options: fail and lose his college scholarship, or team up with his stoner friend Breaux (Marquette) to steal a high powered ganja from law student-turned-drug-dealer Psycho Ed (Brody) and spike the school’s bake sale brownies, getting the whole school—faculty included—completely stoned out of their minds. After all, if everyone fails—then no one fails. What could possibly go wrong with their half-baked plan?
With New York Times declaring: “(Adrien) Brody gives a funny, wild-man performance, and Crave Online calling the film “an entertaining ride,” 'High School' is a fun, must see stoner comedy that is not to be missed!
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include an audio commentary and never before seen deleted scenes.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.99.
