'The Karate Kid' Blu-ray Gets a Release Date!

October keeps getting more crowded, with the 2010 family remake now spin-kicking to Blu-ray.

In an early announcement to retailers, Sony has slated 'The Karate Kid' starring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan for Blu-ray release on October 5.

The film has been receiving generally favorable reviews and currently holds a 68% "fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Specs and supplements haven't been revealed yet, but the suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $38.96.
