The Coen Brothers thriller originally slated for Blu-ray release earlier this month has now been taken off the release slate.
As previously reported, MGM/UA had announced 'Blood Simple' starring John Getz, Frances McDormand, and Dan Hedaya for Blu-ray release on August 3, but now that date has been put on hold with no reason given for the delay.
This noir tale of small town double-cross and murder was directed by Joel Coen and has been called "fiendishly clever" by Roger Ebert.
