Golden Globe nominee Ewan McGregor ('Moulin Rouge!') has a lust for Blu-ray this September.
In an early announcement to retailers, Lionsgate will be bringing Oscar-winner Danny Boyle's 'Trainspotting' to Blu-ray on September 13.
'Trainspotting' portrays the misadventures of a group of heroin addicts in the late 1980's in Edinburgh, Scotland. The film also stars Ewen Bremner ('Match Point'), Jonny Lee Miller (Showtime's "Dexter"), Kevin McKidd (TV's "Grey's Anatomy"), Robert Carlyle (TV's "SGU Stargate Universe") and Kelly Macdonald ('Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2'). Based on the novel of the same name by Irvine Welsh ('The Acid House'), the film earned an Academy Award® nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay for screenwriter John Hodge ('The Beach').
The Blu-ray will feature will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include ¬audio commentary from director Danny Boyle, star Ewan McGregor, producer Andrew McDonald, and screenwriter John Hodge; deleted scenes; making of featurette; Interviews with Boyle, Hodge, McDonald, and Trainspotting novelist Irvine Welsh; film retrospective; and a digital copy.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $19.99.
