The acclaimed story of love and war will arrive on Blu-ray in July.
In an early announcement to retailers, Lionsgate has revealed 'The Flowers of War' is planned for Blu-ray on July 10.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Yimou Zhang ('Hero,' 'House of Flying Daggers') and based on the novel by Japanese author Yan Geling, the film was nominated for a Golden Globe® for Best Foreign Film. 'The Flowers of War,' starring Academy Award® winner Christian Bale and introducing Ni Ni, is a powerful and epic tale of love and war, where a band of outcasts emerge as unlikely heroes from the shadows of a city’s occupation.
Specs have yet to be revealed, but supplements will include a five-part behind-the-scenes documentary.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.99.
