Michelangelo Antonioni's powerful drama has been announced for high-definition this June.
The Criterion Collection has just revealed 'Red Desert' starring Monica Vitti and Richard Harris is coming to Blu-ray on June 22.
The Blu-ray release will feature 1080p video, an Italian LPCM mono soundtrack (with English subtitles), and supplements will include: Audio commentary by Italian film scholar David Forgacs; Archival video interviews with director Michelangelo Antonioni and actress Monica Vitti; Outtakes from the film's production; Original theatrical trailer; and a booklet featuring an essay by film historian Mark Le Fanu, an interview with Antonioni by Jean-Luc Godard, and a reprinted essay by Antonioni on his use of color.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.95.
