Blue Underground will unleash William Lustig's 'Maniac' featuring special effects by the legendary Tom Savini to Blu-ray on October 26.
The release is being given a new "pristine" 2k transfer and will apparently include the original uncut and uncensored version of the film.
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Audio commentary: Co-producer/director William Lustig and co-producer Andrew W. Garroni; Audio commentary: William Lustig, special make-up effects artist Tom Savini, editor Lorenzo Marinelli, and Joe Spinell's assistant Luke Walter; Anna and the Killer: interview with Star Caroline Munro; The Death Dealer: interview with special make-up effects artist Tom Savini; Dark Notes: interview with composer Jay Chattaway; Maniac Men: interview with songwriters Michael Sembello and Dennis Matkosky; Theatrical trailers, TV spots, Radio spots; The Joe Spinell Story; Maniac Publicity; Maniac Controversy.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.98.
