A Blu-ray double dip of Richard Kelly's cult fave is in the works this July.
In an early announcement to retailers, 20th Century Fox will be bringing 'Donnie Darko: 10th Anniversary Edition' to Blu-ray on July 26.
In the tradition of 'Urban Legend' and 'Final Destination,' 'Donnie Darko' is an edgy, psychological thriller about a suburban teen coming face-to-face with his dark destiny. Jake Gyllenhaal leads a star-filled cast (including Drew Barrymore, Noah Wyle, Jena Malone, Patrick Swayze, and Mary McDonnell) as a delusional high-school student visited by a demonic rabbit with eerie visions of the past - and deadly predictions for the future. This "excitingly original" (Entertainment Weekly) nail-biter will keep you on the edge of your seat until the mind-bending climax.
This release will be a 4-disc set (with the Theatrical & Director's Cuts on Blu-ray, plus a DVD and Digital Copy) with 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements include: 3 Audio Commentaries (2 Theatrical, 1 DC), Cast-and-crew bios, Trailers & TV spots, Donnie Darko Production Diary, They Made Me Do It Too: The Cult of Donnie Darko, Featurettes, Documentaries, Storyboard-to-screen, Deleted scenes, Behind the scenes interviews, and Website gallery.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $24.99.
