A 2011 release is still in the works for the incredibly popular 'Diablo' style game.
'Diablo III' is still a little way off and if you've got the itch, you're going to need something to hold you over. That's where 'Torchlight II' comes in. It won't have all the polish and glitz that a release from 'Blizzard' has, but what it will have is solid game play and a fairly familiar experience.
The team behind 'Torchlight II' commented recently on RunicGamesFanSite as to the release date of their upcoming game. The direct quote is that the game will in fact be released by December of this year unless "someone on the team dies."
It's a funny response, but it does carry a bit of weight. The group of programmers behind 'Torchlight II' is pretty small. "If one of our three programmers gets the flu, we could be screwed," says Runic's Wonder Russell.
'Torchlight II' has a planned release of Q4 2011 and will run just $20.
