The company's latest tablet is now available for purchase.
Dell has announced the release of its Venue 8 7000. At just 6mm thick, the tablet is said to be the world's thinnest on the market.
"The new Dell Venue 8 7000 is the perfect tool for an artist as it combines beautiful, thin design with the performance and features to showcase my work in the best light," said Aerosyn-Lex Mestrovic, visual artist. "With the rich and saturated colors of the eye-popping OLED infinity edge-to-edge screen and more than 4M pixels, I can now accurately show the details of my work while meeting with clients, collectors and collaborators whilst traveling. I also see a ton of opportunity to utilize the 3D editing and measurement tools for my installation projects, such as the works I’ve created for installation at The MoMA or for the SCOPE art fair at Miami Art Basel."
The device features an 8.4-inch OLED display with an FHD resolution of 2560x1600 and 10-pt capacitive touch. Under the hood, the device is powered by an Intel Z3580 Quad Core Atom processor at up to 2.3GHz, 2GB LP DDR3 RAM, 16GB of storage, and Intel HD Graphics all running Android 4.4. An 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera are integrated as well. In addition, the tablet uses Intel RealSense Snapshot Depth Camera technology, allowing users to refocus pictures after they've been taken.
Dell's Venue 8 7000 tablet is available now at Dell.com and select Best Buy stores for prices starting at $400.
