'Day of the Dead' Remake Coming to Blu-ray

The zombies of 'Day of the Dead' are shuffling to high-def, with First Look announcing an early December Blu-ray arrival for the 2008 horror remake.

A remake of the 1985 George A. Romero cult classic (which already hit Blu-ray from Anchor Bay last year), 'Day of the Dead' stars Mena Suvari and Nick Cannon, and was directed by horror-meister Steve Miner ('Halloween H20'). Premiering direct-to-video earlier this year, First Look has set a December 2 street date for the Blu-ray, eight months past the DVD release.

There are no tech specs or supplement details as of yet, but an extras package comparable to the previous DVD release is expected. We'll keep you posted.

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $24.95.
