The pair of critically-acclaimed films by Akira Kurosawa are headed for high-definition in March.
The Criterion Collection is preparing 'Yojimbo' and 'Sanjuro' for Blu-ray on March 23.
The Blu-ray releases will feature 1080p video, Dolby Digital 3.0 soundtracks, and supplements will include: Documentaries on the making of Yojimbo and Sanjuro, created as part of the Toho Masterworks series Akira Kurosawa: It Is Wonderful to Create; Theatrical trailers and teasers; Still galleries of behind-the-scenes photos; and Booklets featuring essays by critics Alexander Sesonske and Michael Sragow and notes from Kurosawa and his cast and crew.
Suggested list price for each Blu-ray is $39.95, but there will also be a 'Yojimbo/Sanjuro' box set for $69.95.
