"This is America on its knees."
After a attempting a string of this year's AAA releases, including 'Tomb Raider,' 'Hitman: Absolution,' and 'Injustice: Gods Among Us,' Conan O'Brien and Team Coco have elected to dial it back with a retro version of 'Clueless Gamer.'.
While the pinnacle of the segment was meant to be a fan-chosen Atari 2600 title, Conan actually attempted multiple famous Atari 2600 games. 'Combat,' 'Missile Command,' 'Golf,' 'River Raid,' and 'Pitfall,' all in succession seemed to suck the life and best hopes out of Conan before finding some gameplay solace in 'Space Invaders.'
The games available for voting for the fan chosen title included 'Pong,' 'Burger Time,' 'Pitfall,' 'Custer's Revenge,' 'Frogger,' 'E.T.,' 'Dig Dug,' and 'Joust.' Of course, only one of those titles has achieved a direct dubious association with the video crash, cash-in licensing, and land-fill hunting, and that would be 'E.T.' Conan suggested that the game's remarkable gameplay, which consists mainly of falling in various holes looking for telephone parts, really just simulates the cycles of depression.
Ultimately, Conan rated 'E.T.' with a rating of 'Men at Work.'
