A mouse and a bear will form an unlikely friendship in this charming animated film arriving on Blu-ray in June. You can pre-order the disc now.
In an early announcement to retailers, Cinedigm is preparing 'Ernest & Celestine' for Blu-ray on June 10.
Deep below snowy, cobblestone streets, tucked away in networks of winding tunnels, lives a civilization of hardworking mice, terrified of the bears who live above ground. Unlike her fellow mice, Celestine (Pauline Brunner/Mackenzie Foy) is an artist and a dreamer, and when she nearly ends up as breakfast for Ernest (Lambert Wilson/Forest Whitaker), a grizzly poet, the two form an unlikely bond. But it isn't long before their friendship is put on trial by their respective bear-fearing and mice-eating communities. Gorgeous animation, wonderful storytelling and brilliant comic timing combine with the on-screen chemistry between the two leads that will put a smile on your face and make your heart glow.
Specs have not been detailed yet but the Blu-ray will feature the original French audio track and an English dub, and supplements will include: Making Of Documentary; Feature-length Animatic; and Interview with Benjamin Renner.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack is $34.95.
