'Biutiful' Announced for Blu-ray

The acclaimed two-time Academy Award nominated film is bound for Blu-ray in May.

In an early announcement to retailers, Lionsgate says it will make Blu-ray 'Biutiful' on May 31.

Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem masterfully takes on the role of Uxbal, a man in free fall, which the Los Angeles Times calls, "one of the year's best performances." Honored with multiple awards including Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival and a Best Foreign Language Film Golden Globe® nomination, the drama based on a short story by director Alejandro González Iñárritu ('Babel,' 'Amores Perros') has been hailed as "riveting" (New York Post).

Specs have yet to be revealed, but the release will include an Making-of documentary.

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $39.99.
