The new display is geared toward professional photo editing.
BenQ has announced the release of its latest monitor, the SW320. The flagship photography monitor offers advanced color accuracy features and HDR support.
"Image quality is everything. Photographers need to be able to see every single detail down to the pixel," said J.Y. Hu, vice president, business line management at BenQ America Corp. "Our new SW320 delivers plenty of screen real estate, the widest possible color gamut, and calibration tools that ensure accuracy right out of the box. Professionals will love how seamless and efficient working on the SW320 makes their photo editing sessions."
The SW320 features a 31.5-inch true 10-bit IPS panel with an Ultra HD resolution of 3840x2160. In addition, the display offers support for high dynamic range (HDR) and wide color gamuts, including 99% of Adobe RGB and 100% of sRGB, Rec. 709, and the digital cinema industry's DCI-P3 color spaces. Likewise, the unit includes Technicolor Color Certification, a Brightness uniformity function, a Palette Master Element Color Calibration option, BenQ's Eye-Care technology, GamutDuo and Advanced Black and White modes, an advanced 14-bit lookup table (LUT) and Delta-E value of d 2. A media card reader, USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 2.0a, and DisplayPort/miniDisplayPort 1.4 supporting Mac Thunderbolt output are integrated as well. Finally, the SW320 also features a detachable shading hood to reduce screen glare from ambient lighting.
The BenQ SW320 is now available for a suggested retail price of $1,399. Beyond the new monitor, BenQ also recently released its new HT1070 1080p Home Theater projector ($699). An optional full HD wireless kit WDP01 ($299) is also available for transmitting wireless uncompressed Full HD video and audio to the projector.
