The value-priced 4K projector includes high dynamic range support.
BenQ has announced the upcoming release of its latest Ultra HD projector model. The CineHome HT2550 DLP projector is set to launch in January in North America for under $2,000.

The projector uses 0.47" single-DMD-chip DLP technology to provide a 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 resolution with 8.3 million distinct pixels. In addition, the unit features BenQ's CinematicColor technology and a RGBRGB color wheel to produce over 96% coverage of the Rec. 709 color gamut. Brightness is rated for 2200 ANSI Lumens and the contrast ratio is listed as 10000:1. HDR10 capabilities with auto image optimization are included as well. Likewise, the device utilizes motion-adaptive edge pixel enhancement, sophisticated color algorithms, accurate flesh tone rendition, and proprietary CinemaMaster Video+ and CinemaMaster Audio+ 2 technologies. HDCP 2.2 compliancy, auto keystone correction, and 1.2X big zoom are all integrated as well.
