Black, a tough and skilled fighter, and his naïve younger brother White, are two orphaned street kids patrolling the slums of Treasure Town. When gangsters threaten to tear down what's left of the city to build a theme park, the kids are thrown into a nonstop battle to survive, taking on yakuza, alien assassins, and ultimately their own selves.
Featuring stunning, action-packed visuals from STUDIO4°C (Mind Game) and based on the legendary manga by Taiyo Matsumoto, Tekkonkinkreet is a modern cult classic – a sensitive story of brotherhood and connection in a decaying world, now beautifully remastered in 4K.
This has been on my watchlist since 2010. I think now might be the time!

This is one of my favorite manga, and the movie is definitely not a straight adaptation, which threw me off a little. I've had the Blu-ray for ages, but I'd be willing to revisit this one in 4K

Glad I resisted the temptation to buy the Anime Limited version and had stuck with the old Sony release. Presumably AL will give it a 4K release at some point too…

I blind-bought this blu-ray years ago and literally just watched it a week ago for the first time. Brilliant animation and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it in a theater and/or in 4k.
