Plot Sypnosis:

Men and women can't be friends because sex always gets in the way. College graduates Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan), who have just met, argue about the veracity of this thesis during an 18-hour drive to New York. Arriving at their destination, they go their separate ways until they meet again by chance in a bookstore ten years and two failed partnerships later. The two decide to prove the contrary and, against all expectations, become best friends - but it is becoming increasingly difficult for the two to maintain the purely platonic relationship ...
